Meet & Greet Info for Mon, 5-14-18

Dear Piranha-Waves, We can't wait to see you again and meet you all at Meet & Greet this coming Monday, May 14, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at the Chastain Lakes Pool/Pavilion at 99 Lakeside Drive, Kennesaw, 30144. This is our time to meet our Piranhas and Waves families, to meet our coaches, our coordinators, to get a feel for what is coming up, to take our team picture as well as individual pictures, to receive your T shirts, bring your drink donations (as our first meet Wed, 5-30, is a home meet at our Paces Club location and we need to supply concessions as our fundraiser) and settle outstanding balances for registration. Be sure to bring your swimmers' swimsuits to change into, though we won't get in the water, but we need it for the team picture at 5 pm or as soon thereafter as we have everyone together Be sure to bring money (cc, checks, cash) to settle outstanding balances (cash or checks only) and to purchase individual pictures many of us like to have taken by the professional photographer (they take cc) Bring the volunteer deposit of $50 made out to your respective team Sign up for volunteer positions for the meets unless you already did on the website Parking is a concern in our neighborhood, so please start parking in our pool parking lot and once that is full, swing around the cul de sac and park as though you're leaving the pool facing away from it. We are not to park in the cul de sac itself and may only park on one side of the street. All this is for the safety of our swimmers and residents. Per code and in case of an emergency, we need to provide enough space for emergency vehicles. Please bring your drink donation (last names A-G 12pk of cans of Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite or Diet Sprite, H-P 12pk of water bottles regular 16.9oz size, Q-Z Case of Gatorade (8 pack or more- 16 oz bottles)- blue, purple or orange only It is always nice to have a little treat to enjoy, such as baked goods or other snacks. If you are so inclined, please bring something or a drink to share Forecast looks great, but in case of bad weather, you'll be notified that we'll move the Meet & Greet to the following day, same time and location Otherwise, plan on attending practice the following day(s) after school. Check the blog for your specific time slot Mock Meet is Tue, 5-22 from 4 pm to about 6 pm (please RSVP for the event - this is where we will practice for the first meet, swimmers and parent volunteers alike :-)) We have just short of 100 swimmers total, split about evenly between the teams We look forward to a successful season with everyone's help and patience as we start this new merger. We need lots of help at the first meet, especially with concessions.
