Subject: Piranhas 2018 team update

Dear Piranhas,

As we anticipate our 2018 swim season, there are some important changes in the works.

Piranha-Waves Swim Team
First, I would like to announce that for the 2018 season, for the first time in the team's history, we will be competing as one with Chastain Lakes Waves. Our competition name is Piranha-Waves Swim Team (PWST). This opportunity came about through a series of events with the end result being that both teams get to leverage our strengths by working together. This is an exciting opportunity and a new journey!

Our teams will have separate morning practices, each at our own pools, but compete as one team at swim meets. The boards of both communities and the league have been informed and have given us their agreement.

Taneyha Baul, Ute Marks (Waves) and I have been working behind the scenes to make this happen. For more information about the merger see the merger FAQs on the blog.

Website & Data

As of December 31st, swim-team.us closed down. As a result, I have exported the team's data and information. Going forward, team general information and updates will be housed at http://pwswims.blogspot.com. All registration, volunteer and family data will be housed on Active-Hytek's Swim Manager. To register for our team, once registration opens, go to active.com, search for Piranha-Waves Swim Team and click the large 'register' button.

We are excited to get the season started and to see all of you again soon. Please email any feedback to pacesclubpiranhas@gmail.com.
